SnapTrek is an app for photographers looking for shooting locations.

The Problem

Both amateur and professional photographers frequently analyze others’ photos to get ideas for great shooting locations. Even if the location is recognizable, it would often be nice to know what time of year, time of day, and settings were used to get the shot.

The Questions

Would photographers be willing to share their location and other metadata with other photographers to help them get great photos? Would other photographers want access to that information?

SnapTrek Logo

The logo was inspired by a combination of a compass rose and camera, with the compass standing in for the flash. Color choices were originally tried on a white background but had to be revisited when the black background of the app was chosen.
